12856 Three days ago, I planted Morning Glory seeds in Jiffy Peat Pellets. Today, I had to re-plant them in something larger because they’ve already sprouted like crazy. Augh! It’s February! I can’t plant anything outside for another month at least. I keep forgetting that they grow so fast. They’re going to be huge in a week! The hummingbirds don’t get here for another month either, so it’s not like I’m in any hurry to get them out. I need to remember next year to start them later or just plant them righ tin the ground instead of the peat things. I planted some Blue Bedder Salvia in the peat pots today. They should grow much slower.

I hate gardening. I really do. But I love hummingbirds, so I go out and I dig holes in the dirt for hours on end. I started at 9:30 this morning and I’m done at 11:30. Not bad for all that I did:

Morning Glory vines: planted on trellis 1
Cypress Vine: planted on trellis 2
2 Dragon Wing begonias: moved from front to back of apt.
1 Butterfly Bush: moved from front to back
1 Purple Majesty salvia: planted in front
1 Black and Blue salvia: planted in front
2 Hot Lips salvia planted in front

Everything is out and in the ground except for my Blue Bedder salvia seedlings, which are still only about 2.5 inches tall.

Well, my stress level continues to be pretty high. I have to do web design, pack, and make my costume before the 29th. On the 29th, I start moving, and will have no more time to work on such things.
My costume is continuing to move well. it’s looking great so far. Meggie and I went to the Salvation Army today and got the perfect overdress for $10. It’s black lace over purple silk, so it’s very peacocky and such. Heh. I was working on my hair things last night, and I’m still waiting on more feathers and my petticoat to come in.

I haven’t done shit for packing yet, and I need to do that tomorrow. I was hoping to go with Larry to Petsmart to get kitty things before they go home next weekend, but I can’t. There’s Just no time left. I’ve got a week or so to pack up this entire place. Meggie was supposed to help me today, but we ended up doing costumes instead. I still have to change over all my utilities and such. Turning off my phone, because Bellsouth wants $46 to change over my $14 phone service. I said “The Hell you say..” ::sigh:: I just need more time.

Man oh man. I’m not used to being this busy. It’s been a regular madhouse around here. The cats are nervy with the boxes everywhere, and I’m constantly ramming my toes into things at night. ::sigh:: Ow. So, this is my upcoming week so far:

Fri. 25th: Jared’s birthday (I gave him $80 already), open store at 9am
Sat. 26th: Larry comes for kittens, we go shopping for kitty things
Sun. 27th: Drive 2 hours with Taj back to my mom’s house, drive 2 hours back to Athens
Mon. 28th: Work 12-6pm
Tue. 29th: Off work, start moving my shit over to the new place. Have to move Morla first, then sleep on floor rather than leave her there alone at night
Wed. 30th: Get mask, continue moving before work 12-6pm
Thu. 31st: Halloween downtown in my costume. 🙂
Fri. 1st: Atari’s Halloween party in Atlanta.

Somewhere in the middle of all of this, I have to finish packing AND finish my peacock costume. I’d work on it now, but I’m stuck until I get the petticoat I won off of Ebay. They girl said it was sent the 18th, and I still haven’t gotten it. I have to attach the under layer to the petticoat, because if I attach it to the thrifty store dress, it’ll break the straps on the dress, and it’ll fall down around my ankles. Yes, I know some people wouldn’t mind that, but I would. I get cold too easy.

Well, today at work I got that apron that goes with the Alice costume in the mail. It was a bit shorter than I expected it to be, but that was easily remidied by adding some of the extra white fabric I had leftover from the bedskirt I used for the trim on the skirt. I also added some lace all around the apron to make it more frilly and a little longer. The addition of the white lace and fabric makes the age-yellowness of the apron quite obvious, so I will have to bleach the hell out of it. I also added some lace all around the bottom of the skirt, and on the top as a semi-apron-top design.

Well, my Alice costume is nearing completion. I need to buy some more of the garter ribbon to use on my skirt, dress of the top of it a bit more and I’ll be done. 🙂 I think I need to make the skirt just a bit shorter so it shows off the cute stockings more. Since these photos, there’s a little bow and flower on the front of the neck garter, some of the garter lace on the shirt, and two blue ribbons hanging from the bows in the back of the stockings. Just to call attention to them a bit more. In the gallery with all of the Alice photos there are a few more new pictures as well as a close-up of the arm bands. I’m quite proud of those. They took forever. I still have to bleach the crap out of the little apron, then add some darker blue ribbons to the apron ties. I want them to hang low, maybe just a little past the edge of the skirt. Very anime. I keep getting the feeling that I’m too tall to do this correctly. Alice was short, anime chicks are short, etc. I think that if I were shorter that it may look better. Oh well.

In other news, there’s a tree down in my yard. Well, more like my apartment’s yard. John and I came back last night and tried to park, but there was a tree in the way! I waited until this morning to get photos of it. Just looks like it went bad and couldn’t support itself anymore. I also cleaned out my freezer a few days ago. My freezer is one of those kind that is just metal on the inside, so it gets all frozen. I have about a inch thick or more of ice on the walls, so I shaved it all off with a spatula. I got a ton of shaved ice out of the deal, so I made myself a daiquiri out of the mixer Meggie left me. Unfortunately, I got confused as to what you’re supposed to put in a daiquiri and used vodka instead of rum. I had the biggest daiquiri you’ve ever seen, but it was really nasty.

Well, just to let everyone know who isn’t checking every hour like me, Meggie’s page is changed to her Scotland theme and is now being UPDATED! Yay! Go see what my loveable sister is up to in her fun Scottish life. 🙂
In other news, the Sexy Halloween Party is tomorrow!! AAaaahhhhh! ::runs around like an idiot:: My Alice costume is almost done. Everything is complete but the blue ribbon in the back. Right now the white apron ties in the back, but the ties are short. So I am adding blue ribbon to the ends of the apron ties to make a blue bow and much longer ties that trail down the back of the dress. I’m very excited. John is going as Samurai Jack. I had the hardest time trying to find shoes for him while he was gone. I finally just got some of the huge chunky shoes that girls wear now and cut them in the shape of traditional geta (geta are the wooden shoes that have two togs on the bottom to walk on).
Also, my birthday is in 15 days! Wahoo for being 24! I’ve posted my wishlist again, for those of you that want to help support my material habits. Mostly I need money. Really. I have to get Maisie spayed, pay bills, pay back other people, etc. I need the cash instead of the other things. Also, that wishlist is not in order. I’d rather have a sewing machine than a metal detector (but since both are ~$400, I’m not counting on either!).
